THE GOOD NEIGHBOR FUND
PLEASE NOTE: The Good Neighbor Fund will be temporarily suspended from December 2024-February 2025. We will resume this ministry in March of 2025.
The Good Neighbor Fund is used to support neighbors with occasional rent and utility assistance. This fund is 100% reliant on your designated giving.
WAYS TO GIVE
1) Go online to https://southendumc.org/donate/to make a designated online donation toward the Good Neighbor Fund. Consider a recurring donation! Monthly recurring donations make a huge difference in this ministry.
2) Donate gift cards. Often neighbors need temporary assistance in the form of gas or grocery gift cards, but we are unable to purchase these from our limited funds. Any donation of grocery or gas gift cards are always appreciated!
3) Donate to Thriftsmart and name South End as your church. When you take the extra step of donating your gently used goods in the name of South End, Thriftmart will weigh all that they receive from us and in turn send us gift cards based on the number of pounds donated. These are very helpful for neighbors in need of household items or clothing.
4) Monthly communion offering – On the 1st Sunday of each month we take up a special communion offering to support the GNF. You may leave cash or check at the altar when you come to the table for the sacrament.
To contact us for assistance, call the church office, 615-833-2077, during office hours, Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., to speak with the pastor. If necessary to leave a message, your call will be returned as soon as possible.
